Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The PTA work hard to support the school and help provide those little extras which make Holmfirth High such a great place. We not only raise money but support staff in putting on concerts and school productions taking responsibility for refreshments and raffles. Last year’s money was used to buy benches for the playground and a vitally important laser cutter for the DT department.

We have supported other areas of school including the STEM Fair and helping with replacing the stage curtains. In the future we are looking to provide an undercover outdoor seating area so that children can go outside even if the weather is bad.

2. Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping.

There are no catches or hidden charges and Holmfirth High School will be really grateful for your donations.

Thank you for your support.

Our Fundraising

Last year we raised £10K by donations and making a few cups of tea.  Here are a few things that the PTA has raised funds for in the past.

Outdoor Classroom

The school’s outdoor classroom provides students with a flexible outdoor space to work in. This unique classroom is used as a base for subjects such as land based studies and orienteering.

School Minibus

The school mini bus plays a big part in providing opportunities for our students. The mini bus is used to transport students to sporting events, school trips or other off-site learning experiences.

Laser Cutter

The laser cutter is used within the Design & Technology department and helps students to design and create exciting projects.
