Mathematics

Our Vision

The Mathematics department at Holmfirth High School is a forward thinking and innovative department that works incredibly hard to ensure that students of all ability are stretched and challenged to achieve their full Mathematical potential. We believe in equipping students with the mathematical skills that will help them become lifelong learners in whatever direction their lives take after school. We put a premium on developing students enthusiasm towards maths by highlighting the vast “real life” applications of the skills pupils are learning. #YesUCan is a symbol of the growth mindset of the mathematics department. Every child is capable of being a successful learner of Mathematics.
